Kelly Koinm

DVM

Dr. Kelly Koinm was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She completed eight years of active duty service in the U.S Army as a medical laboratory technician where she also earned an Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from George Washington University in 2007. 

She completed her Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2010. Her love for animals and people inspired her to apply to veterinary school. In 2014, she graduated from North Carolina State University where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  

After graduation Dr. Koinm returned to active duty as a Veterinary Corps Officer serving the military working dogs of both Minot and Grand Forks Air Force Bases in North Dakota. In September 2018, she moved her family to Nacogdoches Texas and purchased Connolly Animal Clinic. During this time period Dr. Koinm also completed a master’s degree in Clinical Toxicology from the University of Florida. Her special interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, and soft tissue surgery. 

Dr. Koinm and her husband Brandon have a daughter named Mia and a son named Alexander. She shares a household with two bengal cats named Sterling and Darwin. In her spare time, Dr Koinm enjoys exercising, playing softball, and spending time with her family.
